Amongst the most famous places to go for a night out, Sunset Strip in Los Angeles has a large number of upmarket clubs and bars that are favoured by many stars, and it is a great place to people watch.

There are also many bars along the beach front in Long Beach - including the stylish lounges aboard the Queen Mary ocean liner, while in Venice Beach, you can find a much more relaxed scene to enjoy.

Amongst the best-known clubs in LA is the Johnny Depp owned Viper Room - although he is rarely seen there these days. This stunning music and party venue is the hang out of many superstars when they are in town, and is regularly voted amongst the best nightclubs on earth. The Viper Room is located on Sunset Boulevard - just look for the queue! It is extremely exclusive - the capacity is just 250 people, so contact the club in advance to get on the guest list.
